“The pilgrimage of ascension and this descent for the work of transformation must inevitably be a battle, a long war with ourselves and with the opposing forces around us, which, while it lasts, may well seem interminable.

For all our old dark and ignorant nature will struggle repeatedly and stubbornly against the transforming Influence, supported in its hesitant reluctance or its stubborn resistance by most of the established forces of the surrounding universal Nature; the powers and principalities and ruling beings of the Ignorance will not easily relinquish their empire.

Battle, conquest and empire in the form of victorious conflict with the Powers of Darkness, complete spiritual autonomy and mastery over inner and outer Nature, a conquest by Knowledge, Love and Divine Will over the domains of the Ignorance, this is the true aim of life. »

Sri Aurobindo

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

Ephesians 6:12

Conflicts and violence are increasing in intensity all over the world. But let us not mistake the enemy, they are not people with different opinions, nor elected politicians, nor foreigners or countries not aligned on the same doctrine. Human beings, beings of flesh and blood, are only projections of spiritual forces, are only visible effects of invisible causes. The true dimension of the battles is found in the source dimensions of our material reality, therefore in the invisible worlds. And this battle against intangible creative principles resonates with our interiority.

So the battles to be waged are above all spiritual and interior, although they can manifest themselves in our visible reality. But these are fights without rules or laws, where all blows are allowed, where the enemy can strike in the most fragile parts at the moment of greatest vulnerability. The source reality is unitary.

Everything is ONE. But from the absolute and creative spiritual unity, material reality is projected. And this tangible reality is fragmented, divided, notably by dualities. Night and day, masculine and feminine, hard and tender… This duality structures our reality, allows differences, contrasts and therefore allows us to experience matter. Unity is absolute, duality is relative. True unity is not of this world. And this duality that we experience creates contrasts and conflicts, and therefore differences between good and evil, between darkness and light.

The enemies to fight can be:

– forces blocking spiritual evolution

– archetypes embodying their inferior and negative aspects

– forces trying to obtain our consent

– forces denying our divine individuality

– forces stifling our autonomy and locking us into dependencies

Our weaknesses:

– ignorance!

– our tendencies to want to fight only created projections and not creative principles

Our strengths:

– knowledge!

– consciousness

– faith

– love

– courage

The enemy finds his strength in his invisibility. Once unmasked and illuminated by the light of knowledge and consciousness, it is finally possible to (re)cognize him and be able to fight him. Hidden he remains strong, exposed he becomes vulnerable. Hidden, evil can send his henchmen who take on his role but who are ultimately only his projections, which are only illusions. To fight only these illusions is to exhaust oneself and to lose.

The final battle of an end of cycle, as it is represented in the end of films and in the end of levels of video games, opposes the main protagonists leading the final fight for the definitive victory. The real fight does not take place at the beginning of the film or at the beginning of the level of video games, but at the end when the two real opponents, symbolizing the two principles of good and evil, confront each other.

An evil elected politician is only a projection of these principles, an incarnation of an archetype. Wanting to eliminate him is like cutting a weed without attacking the root: immediately another one appears. But perceiving this elected politician as the puppet of a negative spiritual force also finding resonances in ourselves, projecting our inner shadows outside, opens us to a larger and more grandiose reality. Everything becomes of great divine accuracy. The scenery disappears and the puppeteer becomes visible.

At the end of a cycle, the contrasts are the strongest. The final battle is being prepared.
