The mystery schools taught that the human being is made up of 3 energy centers corresponding to 3 areas of the body:
– the first center is the pelvis: it is the engine of action, the instinctive center of reproduction and conservation. It is connected to the physical – etheric plane.
– the second is the heart: it is the center of feelings, desires, devotion and emotions. It is connected to the astral plane.
– the third is that of the head: it is the psychic center, it produces thought. It is linked to the mental plane.
These 3 instinctive, emotional and psychic centers construct our reality and our experiences through the 3 associated planes, e.i the etheric, astral and mental realms.
