Jesus said, “Let him who seeks not cease searching until he finds.” And when he has found it, he will be troubled; when he is troubled, he will be amazed, and he will reign over All. » Gospel of Thomas

Mystery schools appeared during Greco-Roman civilization at varying dates, but their expansion occurred with the development of Christianity in the first centuries AD.

Two types of mysteries were taught in these schools:

– The mysterium divinorum: the beautiful and marvelous mystery.

– The mysterium tremendum: the strange and frightening mystery.

As we awaken to the true nature of our reality, we are both amazed and horrified. But to embrace these two aspects is to unite with the whole, the positive and the negative, the light and the darkness, the beauties and the cruelties. The goal is to stand in the middle and unite them within human consciousness.

Beyond moral and therefore human considerations, stands the totality of creation.
