According to esoteric history, there have been several stages of development of human consciousness:
– Lemuria with the development of the body and the etheric/physical plane
– Atlantis with the development of emotions and the astral plane
We are currently at the stage of developing the mental plan, which would have to be constructed, structured and developed. This mental plane is often associated with the intellect, perceived as negative by cutting off the relationship with our body. Isolated in the twists and turns of our head, separated from feelings and emotions, emptied by the energy that the brain uses to function… The mental plane is only just beginning, and therefore its limiting and negative aspects are mastered first. In the same way that a child discovers his physical body by staggering and learning to walk, today’s human being discovers his mental body by learning to use all the functionalities and capacities of his brain.
And our brain is the organ through which we connect to the mental plane. We must not forget that human cognitive abilities have made immense progress since the appearance of reason through scholastic education at the end of the Middle Ages. The Enlightenment allowed an unprecedented advance in the capacities of abstraction and individualization of minds. The human brain and more generally the mental plane have undergone very significant progress in recent centuries.
The majority of the brain’s currently developed capabilities concern its lower aspects. Because like each plane, it is subdivided into several parts depending on the vibrational tone of this plane of consciousness. There are lower aspects, such as analysis, repetition, intellect, calculation… Then there are higher aspects such as intuition, creativity, discernment, enlightened and revealed knowledge… It is by cultivating as a priority the highest and most evolving aspects of the brain that it will be possible to develop the full potential of the mind. And more generally, this will cause the mental plane to evolve through us.
The body allows us to experience the divine creation. The heart opens to the love of the divine. The brain connects us to knowledge of the divine.
